Contributor Terms of Service

Contributor Terms of Service

Contributor is a service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”, “we” or “us”), located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View California 94043, USA, that enables you to remove advertisement(s) when you access the web and/or app properties of publishers participating in the Google Funding Choices Program (“Funding Choices Sites”). These terms, in addition to the Google Terms of Service (“Google ToS”), govern your use of Contributor (the “Service”), and are effective as of the date that you sign up for the Service and accept these terms (the “Terms”).

If there is any conflict between the Contributor Terms of Service and the Google ToS, the Contributor Terms of Service shall prevail.

Requirements for Use

You must be 18 years of age or older and logged-in to your Google account to use the Service. You may use the Service only as permitted by any and all applicable laws and regulations.

Billing and Payment

To pay for the Service, you must have a Google Payments account, which is subject to the Google Payments Terms of Service, and provide us with an active form of payment. You will be charged an initial fixed amount of $5.00 USD (“Initial Funding Balance”) for the Service, which you can apply to remove advertisement(s) from Funding Choices Sites that you access. Your Initial Funding Balance does not expire and will be debited, based on your settings, at a flat rate set by the respective Funding Choices Site for each instance that you access that Funding Choices Site’s page or app without advertisements. You will be notified of the applicable flat rate for each Funding Choices Site when you first access that site and are presented an opportunity to purchase an ads-removal pass through the Service or asked to apply your existing ads-free pass to an additional Funding Choices Site. Once you have configured a Funding Choices Site for ads-free access, you may subsequently view the applicable flat rate in your account settings. If a Funding Choices Site that you have configured for ads-free access subsequently changes the applicable flat rate, you will be notified by email. You may review and change your Funding Choices Sites configurations in your account settings at any time.

Should your account balance fall below $1.00 USD, you will be notified by email and automatically charged $5.00 USD.

You will be charged in this manner for the Service until you cancel or we terminate.

Refund Policy

The removal of advertisement(s) from Funding Choices Sites that you have configured for ad-free access through the Service is final, meaning that you will not receive a refund for any amounts used to remove advertisements from your access of Funding Choices Sites. Refunds will only be issued after cancellation or termination of the Service and for the amount equal to the unused balance, if any, in your account at cancellation or termination. If, however, you see advertisement(s) on a Funding Choices Site to which you’ve applied this Service, please contact us at contributor@google.com so that we can review the issue. Should we determine there was an error in removing advertisement(s), we will credit to your account the amounts charged for those instances where you viewed ads on a Funding Choices Site configured for ads-free access through the Service.

If Google provides you a refund or credit, that refund or credit (as applicable) shall be your sole remedy.

If Google issues a credit, it is under no obligation to issue the same or similar credit in the future, unless there is another instance where advertisement(s) have been displayed on a Funding Choices Site to which you have applied this Service.

Cancellation & Termination

You may cancel the Service at any time through your account settings. If you cancel the Service, you will receive a refund equal to the unused balance in your account shortly thereafter. You will not incur any additional payments.

Google reserves the right to terminate your access to the Service immediately if you violate any of the terms and conditions of these Terms, and otherwise, within 30 days of email notice, including without limitation, if your account has been dormant (i.e., inactive) for a year. If your access to the Service is terminated, you will shortly thereafter receive a refund equal to the unused balance, if any, in your account at the time of termination.

Changes to these Terms

Google may modify these Terms (including URLs referenced in these Terms and the content within such URLs) from time to time. You will be notified by email of changes to these Terms 30 days before they are effective. If you refuse to accept the modified Terms, you must notify Google immediately, and Google may terminate the Service immediately and issue a refund equal to the unused balance, if any, in your account.

Disclaimers

Google will make good faith efforts to remove all ads when you access Funding Choices Sites that you have configured for ads-free access under this Service; however, Google cannot, and does not represent or guarantee that any or all display advertisements will be removed from any or all Funding Choices Sites, including without limitation when you access such sites while you are signed-out of the Service.

Google cannot, and does not, represent or guarantee the participation of any publisher web or app property in the Google Funding Choices Program. If a Funding Choices Site that you have configured for ads-free access through the Service subsequently ends its participation in the Google Funding Choices program, you will be notified by email. You may cancel the Service at any time through your account settings. If you cancel the Service, you will receive a refund equal to the unused balance in your account.

Google is not liable for the content on Funding Choices Sites, and does not endorse any content on Funding Choices Sites.

The laws of the country where your billing address is located, will apply to any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service. All claims arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service may be brought to the local courts of that country, and you and Google consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
